Rock’N’Blues Bike Nights

These days at Tallchief Territory, Home of Native Pride we are busy working on the final details of our summer events. Check out the fun lineup we have planned!

As always, we’ll be hosting our Rock’N’Blues Bike Nights every 3rd Thursday of the month (May 20, June 17, July 15, and August 19) 6-9pm. The event will take place in the side lot of Native Pride Travel Plaza where there will be plenty of space for motorcycle only parking, a stage, a burnout pit and a tented area for vendors and spectators.

The fun in May continues with our Tallchief Territory Spring Smoke Dance Contest on May 22nd 9am-8pm.. Dancer Registration is $10. Admission is $10, Children up to age 4 and elders 60+ are free. Contest divisions are: Tiny Tots (0-4), Youth (5-12), Teens (13-17) , Junior Adult (18-35), Senior Adult (36-49), Golden Age (50+)

The day will be highlighted with NATIVE FOODS and NATIVE CRAFT & ARTS VENDORS
Social Dances will feature the Allegany Singers. Our Smoke Dance Contest Emcee will be Sheldon Sundown. Smoke Dance Singer will be Solon Spruce. The Arena Director will be Blaine Tallchief.
Head Judging duties will be handled by Heath and Nicole Hill. The Head Female Smoke Dancer: will be Valerie Parker and Head Male Smoke Dancer will be Jordan Smith. Come out and join us and celebrate our Native Culture.

We are very excited to add a new event to our summer lineup this year. The Tallchief Health and Healing Expo will take place on Saturday, July 31st at the Tallchief Events Center. With a focus on, “Living Life in Balance,” we will be hosting an array of individuals and organizations whose focus is on encouraging healthy habits and lifestyles. We will also feature individuals steeped in the traditions of Native Healing techniques and actions. There will be presentations, entertainment, and food vendors as well. Watch for more information on our website and social media pages. We look forward to welcoming you to this family-friendly event that can make a difference in your life.

We will close out our summer entertainment schedule on Saturday, September 4th with our Second Annual Tallchief Outdoor Music Celebration. Tickets are now available and selling fast. No surprise when you will have the chance to hear Grammy-nominated, Shemekia Copeland, and special guest star, Blues Hall of Fame Inductee and six-time BMA winner, the legendary Joe Louis Walker.

General Admission tickets are $32.50 and require that you bring your own chair or blanket. VIP tickets are $50 and include a socially distant seating space with chairs and a small table, a waitress, private bathrooms for VIP ticket holders only and souvenir lanyards. You must purchase tickets together if you want to sit with a group. You can purchase up to 10 tickets for a box. Four-to-seven ticketholders will be seated in  a 10×10 space. Eight-to-ten ticket holders will be seated in a 10×15 space.
